KETA:MCE pays tribute to late President Mills

Chief executive of the Keta Municipal Assembly has paid glowing tribute to the late President of the republic of Ghana who passed away yesterday at the 37 Military Hospital.

Mr. Tornyeava described the demise of former President Mills as shocking, devastating and heartbreaking. “It was hard to believe initially but with confirmation from the castle we new it was no more the usual hoax”.

He described him as a man who has displayed an honest leadership throughout his life and has brought great respect and honour to the presidency.

He said for those he appointed to leadership position especially as metropolitan, municipal and district chief executives, they would always remember him for his fatherly advice to first seek the interest of the people they serve and put to good use resources at their disposal to better the lives of the people.

“He also always caution us to be humble and serve the people in truth, never to lord ourselves over people because of the position we find ourselves”.

Like many parts of the country, the MCE said the whole municipality is in grief and prayed for the soul of the President.
