N TONGU:LESDEP gives out outboard motors

The Local Enterprises and Skills Development Programme, LESDEP continuous to provide economic relief to a number of people across the country.

The North Tongu District Directorate of the Local Enterprises and Skills Development Programme, LESDEP handed over five outboard motors to some beneficiaries in the district at a short ceremony.

The outboard motors are aimed at helping the beneficiaries improve on their fishing business on the Volta Lake. 

District Chief Executive of the North Tongu District, Alhaji Bubey Dzinadu who revealed this to Ghanadistricts.com said economic empowerment of the citizenry is high on the agenda of government and the LESDEP is just one of several programmes the government is using to address the unemployment situation in the country.

He used the opportunity to advice the teaming unemployed youth to get involved in any of the economic empowerment interventions from government to acquire skills that would help them fend for themselves.
