KINTAMPO N:Assembly makes progress in revenue collection

The Kintampo North Municipal Assembly had as at May, 2012 collected an amount of GHs 148,943.00 against this year’s budgeted revenue of GHs 494,614.00, representing a total performance rate of 72.3% increase of its internally generated fund(IGP).
The Municipal Chief Executive, Alhaji A. S. Harrison who expressed satisfaction of the above figures at an assembly sitting noted that the performance came as a result of proper supervision from management, as well as hardwork by the revenue collectors.
Touching on expenditure, he said the assembly budgeted to spend GHs 197,276.67, adding that the assembly had as at May, 2012 exhausted GHs 144,343.48 representing 73.17 percent.
He however called on members of the assembly to assist in the collection of the revenue so as to enable the assembly reach its target and complete its numerous projects in various parts of the municipality.
On energy delivery, the DCE noted that the assembly has procured 250 low tension poles and 200 pieces of street lighting bulbs to ensure the connection of some deprived communities to the national grid.
