AMA: New school complex commissioned

President J.E.A Mills yesterday took time off his busy schedules to inaugurate an 18-unit classroom block for the Salvation Army School at Laterbiorkorshie in the Accra Metropolitan Assembly.
The edifice is one of the 72 three-storey 18-unit classroom blocks being put up by the government in collaboration with donor partners under the Millennium School projects to abolish the shift system in the area and to provide a conducive environment for teaching and learning.
The facility has computer laboratory, library, teachers common hall, as well as modern sanitary facilities.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, President J.E.A Mills admonished both the teachers and pupils to put the facility to good use.
The Minister of Education, Mr. Lee Ocran also making a statement at the programme said government is in a process of providing 50,000 teachers in the country with laptops before the end of the year.
