BOLE: Electricity projects commissioned for 3 towns

The Vice President, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, has commissioned newly completed electricity projects at three selected communities of the total number of twenty three localities that had been connected to the national grid in Bole district.
The project which is in line with the government’s energy delivery programme through the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) was initiated last year October and completed in June, 2012.
The three communities where the projects were commissioned include Bala, Maluwe, and Tinga respectively.
Interacting with Ghanadistricts.com, following the commissioning, the District Chief Executive for the area, Alhaji Sampson Abu indicated that the provision of electricity for these local communities meant a boost in the socio-economic lives of residents of these beneficiary areas.
He said this will greatly contribute in enhancing the promotion of Small scale businesses which will in turn help to accelerate growth of the district’s economy.
The project delivered in the district is to fulfill the NDC government’s promises made to Ghanaians in improving the lots of people under the implementation of the “Better Ghana” agenda programme.
