In attempt to keep touch with the people and get them involved in moving the development of the North Tongu District forward, the assembly led by the chief executive has embarked on outreach programme to some selected communities in the district.
The purpose was to inform and sell out achievements of the district assembly and government in adding value to their lives within the last three and a half years in office.
The platform according to the Chief Executive, Alhaji Bubey Dzinadu was also used to educate the public on government social intervention programmes aimed at alleviating poverty and to urged the people to participate for their own good.
He said the programme was worth it as residents in the various communities they visited including Dove, Mafi Kumasi, New Bakpa Avedo and Adidome expressed delight at the concerns shown to their plight by making them aware of such interventions and to take advantage of them.
The people also through their interactions with the entourage expressed concern about some of the challenges confronting their communities and the DCE said they took note of those issues and would find ways of addressing them.
