ABURA: First phase of Saltpond-Abura road nears completion

Reconstruction work is currently ongoing on an 18 kilometer Saltpond - Abura road, aimed at improving transportation in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese District.
The road which has not seen any major rehabilitation works since its construction in the year 1970 is expected to complete very soon.
Speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com the District Chief Executive, William Ata-Mends noted that the project first phase of about 6 kilometer is near completion, adding that the second phase of the project is expected to commence soon.
He however appealed to road users to comply with the contractor and further and charged him to expedite work on the project to ensure its completion on schedule.
Touching on sanitation, the DCE further disclosed that the assembly has also projected an amount to construct a 12- seater KVIP toilet in Moree, a suburb in the district.
He said the community has been identified as one with high population density hence the need to provide additional toilet for the community.
