YENDI: USAID funds establishment of 3 new JHSs

Some basic schools that lacked Junior High Schools(JHS) in the Yendi municipality have been considered to receive additional structures to assist accomplish their quest of getting the needed infrastructure to establish such levels of education.
This was made possible through a collaborative effort between the Yendi Municipal Assembly and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the Municipal Chief Executive for the area, Issah Zakaria said the focus of the move on-board is to assist the selected schools to acquire the basic infrastructure, like adequate classrooms required to run JHS in the respective beneficiary schools.
He disclosed that the project is currently progressing steadily in the various schools earmarked for the move.
The beneficiary schools are Zohe Islamic primary, Ngani R/C and Gbungbaliga R/C all in the municipality.
He reiterated that the projects are also intended to boost quality education in the municipality, under the implementation of the “Better Ghana” agenda programme.
