BUNKPURUGU Y: Aspiring MP tells youth to relay govt achievements

The NDC parliamentary candidate for the Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo constituency, Hon Duut Abdulai Bonchel has challenged students in the area to move in educating their parents on the socio-economic strides made by government for Ghanaians in appreciation to their confidence reposed in them.

According to him, as students they would be in a better position to facilitate in-depth information to the older folks on some of the fine governmental policies, programmes and infrastructure projects which has contributed in the fast pace of the country’s economic development.

He noted that this should be their hallmark as they engage in politics, rather than what he described as ‘dirty politics’ by allowing themselves to be used as instrument of violence and insults.

Mr. Duut made the point after his meeting with students at the Tamale Institute of Business Students in the Bunkpurugu/Yunyoo district, which forms part of his usual visits to schools in the area in the quest to sensitize them on improving their academic laurels so as they could make it into the universities.

Highlighting on some of the projects in education, Mr. Duut reiterated that the NDC government  had education and national development at heart, hence convinced the student to consider the myriads of interventions the NDC government has brought into the district  which includes ,the establishment of Nakpanduri and Bunkpurugu Senior High Schools , the construction of the Binde- Bunkpurugu road , the Small Town Water projects ,the distribution of  free laptops ,the installation of streetlights and the electricity for Binde ,Najong No1&2. 

The MP aspirant however pledged to sponsor students who obtain from grade 6-12 for boys and 6-14 for girls from SHS into the University for free.
