ATIWA: CHPS compound commissioned for Akwaduuso town

A community-based health planning services (CHPS) compound has been commissioned for the people of Akwaduuso in the Atiwa District in the Eastern Region.
The centre which will serve as a child welfare clinic, family planning, antenatal care, disease surveillance and many others was financed by the Japan Embassy at a cost of $112,358.
The centre is aimed at making healthcare accessible to all in the town.
Commissioning the centre, the Eastern Regional Minister, Mr. Victor Smith said government is committed in improving the health of Ghanaians and urged the people of Akwaduuso to frequent the centre as well as maintain it.
The District Chief Executive, Mr. Emmanuel Atta Twum for his part appreciated the Japan Government for financing the project.
