TARKWA: Education Office to get electricity


An office complex

Goldfields Ghana Limited has promised to extend electricity to the education office complex for the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality in the Western Region.

The edifice since its completion in 2008 has been operating without electricity which made things difficult for them to exercise their duties.

According to the company helping them with electricity was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.

This was disclosed over the week at a community consultative meeting organized by Goldfields Ghana Limited, Tarkwa mine for its catchment communities and stakeholders within the Tarkwa Nsuaem municipality.

Mrs Christina Kobinah, Municipal Chief Executive for Tarkwa Nsueam, also present at the programme was grateful to Goldfields Ghana Limited for supporting the area.
