ATIWA: Anyinam taxi rank to receive facelift

Lorry park

Residents and other motorists who patronize the Anyinam taxi rank will soon have their worry of muddy and unkempt station resolved in the face-lifting of the station.

This follows a sod cutting ceremony that was held for the commencement of construction work to upgrade the facility to meet the current needs of the people.

Eastern Regional Minister, Mr. Victor Smith who performed the sod cutting said provision of economic and social infrastructure remains high on the agenda of government and through effective collaborative efforts from the people all those infrastructure constraints will be addressed with time and called for total support for government and the District Assembly.

The DCE, Mr. Emmanuel Atta Twum said the current state of the station does not befit the district especially considering its location along the Accra-Kumasi main road.

He said the upgrading will include pavement of the ground, provision of passenger shed and sheds for petty traders.

He therefore appealed to the drivers to offer the necessary assistants to the contractor to complete the project on time.
