NKWANTA N:Assembly distributes motorbikes

The Nkwanta North District Assembly  has presented about 24 brand new motorbikes to Assembly members to help facilitate their work in their respective electoral areas.

The District Chief Executive, Paul Levin Gyato, who handed over the keys to the Assembly members at a short ceremony, noted that the distribution was in fulfillment of government’s effort to strengthen local governance under the "Better Ghana" agenda.

He therefore added that, beneficiaries should take advantage of the motorbikes and pay regular visit to their electoral areas to identify their problems and forward them to the Assembly for redress.

The DCE noted that members most often found it difficult to visit their electoral areas but expressed hopes that the bikes will assist their movements.

He further urged them to take proper care of the bikes so as to prolong its lifespan and avoid its sale since it was still a government property.
