TALENSI N: DCE asked youth to refrain from negative lifestyles

The District Chief Executive for the Talensi-Nabdam District Assembly, Madame Vivian Anafo has advised the youth of the area to eschew all forms of negative lifestyles to enable them become responsible leaders in future.

He also asked them to be discipline and take keen interest in educating themselves so they could become role models for the future generation.

Madame Vivian Anafo made the point at the Football Gala Competition which was hosted in the district over the weekend to climax activities for the Inaugural ceremony of the new Nabdam district.

This was a community based sports competition organized for the surrounding areas like Pelungu, Nangode, Dachoi, Kongo, Sakoti, Nyobare and Zanegu amongst others.

In attendance was the District Chief Executive for the area, as well as the Chairman of the Committee of the Nabdam Planning Team, who also doubles as the Chief of Sakoti, Naba Joseph Ewong.

Other dignitaries present included some members who are serving on the committee namely, Mr. Thomas Moore, Paul Ponka, Agness Anna Moore and Pastor Isaac Yen popularly known as Palace Bishop.  

The team from Pelungu took the trophy whiles Nangode and Dachoi teams were placed at the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

Meanwhile the district is seriously considering plans to form a solid district team out of the competing teams that came through in the gala match organized in the area.
