TANO S: Techimantia gets ICT centre

Techimantia, a town in the Tano South District in the Brong Ahafo region has benefited from a modern ICT centre provided to them by MTN, a telecommomunication giant at a cost of 100,000 US dollars.
This adds up to a number of noteworthy projets being initiated across the country by the MTN foundation.
Announcing this last week, Mrs Cynthia Lumor, Corporate Services Executive of MTN stated that the foundation has committed a total amount of GH¢694,350.80 in the construction of school buildings, drilling of boreholes and the provision of other health projects in the Brong Ahafo Region alone.
This initiative, she said, was in support of efforts to bridge the digital divide between the served and underserved communities and also support the implementation of the mandatory ICT component of the new educational reforms.
She however called for the proper utilization of the facility.
Mr Bukari Zakari Anaba, District Chief Executive, commended the company for its contribution to accelerated national development and entreated other companies to follow suit.
