FANTEAKWA: Assembly provides more staff accomodation

The usual problem of staff accommodation which bedevils most districts in the country is gradually being worked on by the Fanteakwa District in the Eastern Region.
The Assembly has taken steps towards resolving the challenges with the construction of a 4-unit, 2bedroom staff accommodation for at least some of its heads of departments at the assembly as the first step. This new construction is aside the District Chief Executive and District Coordinating Director’s residence which is usually the focus in most districts.
The facility which is fully self-contained with private compounds is designed to secure and provide the needed comfort to each of the occupant families devoid of confrontations.
When the Eastern Regional Minister visited the facility which is receiving finishing touches, he commended the assembly for the initiative and urged them to improve on it to include other sectors facing similar accommodation challenges.
The regional minister also inspected phase one of the District Directorate office structure of the Ghana Education Service which is about 90 percent complete at Begoro.
The structure which is also funded by the district assembly and estimated at GHs98, 000 comprise of 6 offices, resting room and 5 sanitary facilities.
