TANO SO: DCE calls for peaceful elections
 | | | Bukari Anaba Zakari | |
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Tano South, Assembly Bukari Anaba Zakari has called on Ghanaians to refrain from being used as catalysts to cause violence in the country especially as the December polls beckon.
He admonished them to tolerate each other and eschew any form of violence which can or has the tendency of threatening the peace in the country.
Mr. Anaba was speaking at the 52nd Republic Day celebration in the area over the weekend.
Ghana gained its independence in 1957 and three years later, Osegyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah finally instituted the first Republic Day celebration on July 1st, 1960.
Years after that, the day is celebrated on every 1st July, to signify the country’s total independence from the British colonizers.
Mr. Anaba also reiterated Government’s efforts in providing more development projects for the Tano South District and its environs.
