SISSALA E: Construction of 10 mechanized boreholes in progress

About 10 mechanized boreholes are due to be facilitated for some selected communities that are in dire need of potable water in the Sissala East district in the Upper West region.

Some of the communities considered under this move include Kansec, Pieng-Chollo, Dinbuorijan, Mmanduanu, Koroboi, and Kwapunjan amongst others.

District Chief Executive for the area, Madame Sulemana Alijata Gbentie who highlighted this in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com noted that the drilling of these emergency boreholes when finally completed will minimize the plight of inhabitants regarding the difficulty in accessing potable water.

She therefore pledged the support of the Assembly to fast track works on the ongoing project to enable the residents in the beneficiary communities enjoy safe drinking water.

The move initiated under the implementation of the “Better Ghana” agenda in the district is ostensibly intended to boost the water system for the various communities and localities located in the whole area.
