FANTEAKWA:Minister inspects progress of Obooho-Miaso road

The construction and surfacing of the second phase of a 20-kilometre Obooho- Miaso road in the Fanteakwa District is steadily progressing.
The road which joins the Fanteakwa District to the Kwahu East will serve as an alternative road to Accra especially for long distance and heavy duty tracks since they will not have difficulty in climbing hills.
The 36.6 km Begoro Miaso road has the first phase of 16.6 km funded by the European Union and fully completed while the rest 20 kilometers is being funded by the Government of Ghana (GoG) is expected to be completed in October.
Facol limited, contractors working on the project told the Eastern Regional Minister and his entourage when they visited the project site that, 13 out of the 20 remaining kilometres has already been worked- on leaving only 7 kilometers.
The minister also on his part urged the contractors to speed-up works to ensure the project is completed as scheduled.
The Minister also inspected detriment surfacing a 2 kilometer town road at Odumase funded through a Japanese grant at the GHs 600, 0000.
