CAPE C: New WC provided for Kakomdo

For the first time in many years, residents in Kakomdo a Suburb in the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly of the Central Region will now have a place of convenience as the assembly is constructing a 10-seater Water Closet toilet facility in the area.
The project,financed through the District Assembly’s Common Fund (DACF) is currently at the foundation level and expected to complete very soon.
Disclosing this in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the assemblyman for the area, Anthony Yankey, indicated that the community has been without a toilet facility, adding the situation causes frequently outbreak of diseases such as typhoid and cholera.
The assemblyman however pleaded with the assembly to expedite works on the facility to ensure its completion soon.
He further called for the establishment of a new school, adding that the only school in the area is over populated with about 70 to 80 pupils per a class.
