E GONJA: CBRD supports Assembly to complete Kpanshegu CHPS facility

A new Community Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) centre constructed for the Kpanshegu community in the East Gonja district will now offer assistance for inhabitants to readily access quality healthcare without travelling miles to nearby facilities in other surrounding towns.

The facility secured was initiated under the Community-Based Rural Development Project (CBRD) being implemented in the district to among other things guarantee the quality of life of the rural population.

In addition, the CBRD project also aims at building and strengthening capacity of rural communities and also seeks to improve rural infrastructure, as well as facilitating their access to key support services from public and private sources.

Interacting with Ghanadistricts.com, the District Chief Executive for the area, Alhassan Mumuni disclosed that the Assembly is on the verge of getting the new facility commissioned to offer the chance for residents to access it fully in the area.

He claimed that serious preparations are underway for the swift commissioning of the project in the area.
