E GONJA: 3,600 dual desks supplied to basic schools

Dual desks

With adequate infrastructure playing a critical role in the promotion of quality education in the system, the East Gonja district Assembly is leaving no stone unturned to secure massive boost in infrastructure projects.

In the light of this the Assembly has recently supplied a minimum of 3,600 dual desks to some basic schools in the area, in which both English Arabic Primary school and Gbong JHS were all beneficiaries of this move.

This was initiated through the support of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETfund) in the district, as part of efforts by the fund to invest in the development of education in the country.

Alhassan Mumuni, District Chief Executive for the area, thus confirmed that the myriads of such interventions by government in the educational sector in the district have culminated in the increase in school enrollment in various communities located in the district.

He therefore pledged the commitment of the Assembly to increase the number of school projects so as to boost the standard of education in the district.
