SISSALA E:16km section of Tumu-Navrongo road to be tarred

The District Chief Executive for the Sissala East District Assembly, Sulemana Alijata Gbentie, has reiterated that government has advanced plans in the tarring of 16-km section of the Tumu-Navrongo road.

The road which also links the Upper East and Upper West regions has been receiving considerable attention from government, as the stretch was last year earmarked amidst other several roads that underwent rehabilitation under the Ministry of Roads and Highways’ collaborative effort with Cocoa Board to improve roads to Sheanut and coffee growing areas.

Highlighting the projects captured under roads this year, Madame Sulemana, further disclosed to Ghanadistricts.com in an interview that the Tumu-Wahabu stretch is to be graveled to ease the inconvenience commuters faced when plying the road.

She said the projects were ostensibly geared towards improving the road network of the district to boost the socio-economic lives of residents.
