WA E: Assembly invests in building of Guest house

The Wa East District Assembly has invested a huge sum of GHS 230,000 for the building of a modern Guest house facility at Funsi, the district capital.
Realising the enormous tourism potential of the area and the need to harness them to the total benefit of residents, the Assembly considered the provision of a standard Guest house which will assist tourists and other individuals secure accommodation during their visit to the district.
District Chief Executive for the area, Ameen Salifu disclosing this to Ghanadistricts.com pointed out that the facility will also serve as an impetus to improve the revenue base of the Assembly.
He said this will enable it carry out myriads of projects that will inure the benefits of the inhabitants living in the district.
According to him the facility discharged from the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) forms part of the strategic ways to push forward the “Better Ghana “agenda in the district.
