BIRIM C: New Ambulance for Municipality

The Birim Central Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region has taken delivery of a new ambulance as part of ways to strengthen the health sector.

This also forms part of government’s effort to provide the National Ambulance Service with modern facilities to enable them respond rapidly to emergency situations such as accidents among others in the area.

Mr. F. K. Kissi, the Eastern Regional Director of the Ghana Ambulance Service who received the vehicle on behalf of his outfit, hailed government for the timely intervention and called for more of such initiatives to boost their activities in the area. 

He said his outfit will collaborate seriously with other  agencies such as the Ghana Police Service, National Disaster and Management Organization (NADMO), National Fire Service in attending to emergency situations.

He was optimistic that the facilities will augment the existing ones to enhance activities of the service in the area.
