BIRIM S:Minister inspects ongoing SHS projects

The Eastern Regional Minister has expressed satisfaction at the level of infrastructure development at the Akim Achiase Senior High School and other schools in the Birim South District.
He made the disclosure when he inspected five major infrastructure projects at the school.
They include 2- storey 12- unit classroom block, 2- storey 18- unit classroom block, girls’ dormitory and boys’ dormitory blocks, dining hall and kitchen, all of which were at various levels of completion.
He called on the students to give value to the money spent on the project by taking their studies seriously to create better opportunities in the future and contribute meaningfully to national development.
The headmaster of the school, Frank Dzamaku commanded government and also the former Eastern Regional Minister, Dr. Appiah Kubi for his role in bringing such projects to the school.
He indicated that even though the school was established some twenty-nine years ago, it is only within this last three years that the school has started receiving infrastructure improvement.
At Akim Swedru SHS, the Minister also inspected ongoing girls dormitory block which consists of a 6 unit rooms, a box room, 6 separate toilets and bath and an ironing area.
He further promised to ensure that the second phase of a 2 storey dormitory block is also completed to meet the need of students.
