BIRIM C: Works almost completed on Akim Oda lorry park

The deplorable Akim Oda lorry park, which had been a major worry to commuters in the municipality is gradually being turn into a more befitting lorry station to ensure comfort to drivers, passengers and users of the park.

The rehabilitation work being carried out on the park involving an earthwork, laying of pavement blocks and construction of drains is expected to be completed next week.

The GHs 408,000 project financed through the District Assembly Common Fund, when completed will be a major relief to the Assembly as the persistent complaints from residents will cease.

The Regional Minister, Victor Smith who was there to inspect the project as part of his tour, advised the contractor not to disappoint the public but rather work assiduously to meet the deadline.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Ophilia Koomson, also indicated that other infrastructure will be provided soon to meet the demand of traders.
