In a bid to improve transportation in the area, the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly in the Central Region has funded the construction and reshaping of some major roads within the metropolis.
The areas targeted include Aboom Wells, Amoakofua, Abura through Cape Coast Technical road, SIC road and Takoradi main road.
The cape coast Metropolitan Chief Executive, Anthony Egyir Aikins, who made this known to Ghanadistricts.com said the move is to ensure that the various roads located in the area are kept motorable in order to beef-up economic activities in the area.
However in other related developments, Ghana National College have also benefited from a 3 no. 6 unit classroom blocks to boost teaching and learning in the school.
The projects are expected to go a long way to address the school’s infrastructure deficit to meet its increasing enrolment demands.
However the Ghana Education Trust fund (GETfund) financed projects are still ongoing and expected to be completed very soon.
