BUNKPURUGU Y: Gov’t donates to support victims of Bimoba/Konkomba clashes

The District Chief Executive for Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo District Assembly,Philip Laari has presented relief items on behalf of the government through the Northern Regional Minister, Moses Magbenba to the victims of the Bimoba-Konkomba conflicts in Kpemali- Nakpanduri.

The items included, 100 Bags of Rice, 50 Bags of Maize, 20 Cartons of Cooking Oil, 300 pieces of Buckets, 200 pieces of basins, 360 pieces of blankets, 50 cartons of mosquito coils and 50 bales of used clothing.

Earlier on the DCE took the opportunity to address the two factions for allowing peace to return to the area. 

He cautioned them that no party could emerge as a winner in conflict situations, hence it was necessary for them to come together and unite as one people with a common goal.

Mr. Philip Laari then suggested that this period was a farming season, in the light of this the people should not waste the period and allow farm products to be destroyed which will consequently make women and children suffer most.
