GOMOA W: Regional Minister commissions new projects

The Central Regional Minister, Ama Benyiwa-Doe has disclosed that government is keen to ensure quality education as it is very important in Nation Building.

 She said educational interventions such as the School Feeding Programme, Capitation grant, distribution of free exercise book and uniforms were signs of government’s commitment to making this policy a reality.

Mrs. Benyiwa-Doe said this when she commissioned a new 6 unit classroom block for the St. Jude Junior High School (JHS) in Apam in the Gomoa West District as part of her visit to the district to inspect goverment projects secured for residents. 

The minister further called on parents to have keen interest in the education of their wards so as to enable them become very fruitful to their various communities and the country as a whole.

She also urged students to endeavour to improve on their academic laurels in every part of the country and urged students in the beneficiary school to take advantage of the project. 

Meanwhile the minister also commissioned a 2- unit classroom block for the students at the Apam Methodist School to boost education in the area.
