The Deputy Minister for Volta Region, Henry Ametefe has called for total peace in the country.
He cautioned that the peace of the nation should not be taken for granted especially as the December polls approaches.
The Minister was speaking at a sod cutting ceremony for the construction of a modern office complex for the Education Directorate of the Ketu North district Assembly in the area today.
The project is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
According to him, it is because of the apparent peace the country has experienced over the years comparative to other African countries that is why USAID as well as other development partners consistently invest in Ghana.
The District Chief Executive for Ketu North, Lawson Kofi Claver who could not hide his joy during his welcome address was grateful to the USAID for supporting them to undertake the building of such a magnificent edifice.
The DCE promised that the facility will be put to proper use when finally completed.
