M WASSA E: Area Councils get office accomodation
Out of the eight (8) Area Councils in the Mpohor Wassa East District in the Western Region, six of them have received office accomodation to help improve upon their services they render to the area.
According to the Chief Executive of the Mpohor Wassa East District, Mr. Anthony Bassaw “if you want effective administration there is however the need for basic facilities to be provided for swift and effective response to issues”.
The DCE made this known in an interaction with Ghanadistricts.com on projects that have been executed in the area since the NDC took over the administration of the country in 2009.
Mr. Bassaw spoke plainly, when he proudly highlighted on some of the Better Ghana agenda projects executed so far.
On roads, he observed that most of the roads in the country are in deplorable state because construction and tarring of them are very expensive.
“That is why we have bought a new grader to help us grade our roads to improve the transportation network in the district since we cannot foot the bills should we engage the services of a private contractor”.
In health, Mr. Bassaw indicated that a number of health facilities have been executed including a nurses quarters at Sekyere-Krobo and a community health centre at Akutuase at a cost of GHs750,000 and GHs139, 000 respectively.
He believed the numerous as well as countless education projects initiated in the district was a clear indication of the Better Ghana Agenda, which promises to improve the life of Ghanaians.
