KWAHU S: More comunities get water

Chief Executive of the Kwahu South District, Joseph Omari has expressed gratitude to DANIDA for their continuous support in providing essential needs of deprived communities.

According to him, DANIDA has supported the assembly in completing the drilling of boreholes in 10 communities in the district.

They include Kwakyekrom, Ahodwo, Atuobikrom, Ameyawkrom, Somoa/Nketia. The rest are Kyirifufuo, Mossikrom, Boatengkrom and the Kwahu Government Hospital.

He indicated that work is currently ongoing for the drilling of additional five boreholes located at Kayera, Baw, Adieembra, Gyaekasa and Monsohwidiem with government also allocating five more to be drilled in other communities in coming months.

On the heath sector, the assembly rehabilitated the Twenedurase Health centre, the District Director of Health Services bungalow and completed the phase I of the Mothers’s Hostel at Atibie. Others are construction of 8-seater KVIP toilet facility for the Nkyenekyene Health Centre and Ntomem CHPS Centre.

Additionally, Obo, Nketepa, Besease, Bepong, Pitiku, Asubone, Kwahu Praso No.1 and Atuobikrom have each benefitted from 10-seater vault chamber latrines.
