GOMOA W: Gomoa SHS to receive new bus

Students of Gomoa Senior High School (SHS) in the Gomoa West District of the Central Region have been assured of a brand new bus from the Ministry of Education as part of measures to improve students’ transportation in the school.

The assurance was made when the Education Minister, Lee Ocran paid a recent visit to the school as part of his tour in the district.

Addressing students of the school, the minister however noted that government is eager to improve education in every part of the country, adding that the recent infrastructure boost in various second cycle institutions were signs of the ruling party’s “Better Ghana” agenda which education is priority.

He however urged students not to take the opportunity of being in school for granted but should rather remain focus in their studies to secure their chances of entering into the university.

The minister who inspected a newly constructed classroom block also expressed optimism that the project will help improve teaching and learning in the school.   

Hon. Ocran further charged the contractor working on the school’s on-going new boys’ dormitory block to expedite work to ensure early completion of the facility.
