| Mr. Victor Smith | |
Leaving everything in the hands of government is inimical to the country’s development.
This was a caution statement from the Easter Regional Minister Mr. Victor Smith when he met with heads of department and government agencies in the Birim North District in the Eastern Region.
“The government comes, government goes attitude exhibited by public servants in the discharge of their work retard progress and must be changed now,” the Minister stated.
Mr. Smith therefore charged publc servants to ramian focused, patriotic and mindful of the future of unborn generation since that is the only way the country can make giant strides.
He said not everybody is interested in partisan politics, but everybody is required to contribute to the development of a country and public servants must help such people to contribute without any hindrance.
He wondered why public servants after failing to deliver on why they’ve been employed to do point accusing fingers on government adding that that if everybody plays his/her part effectively Ghana will surely achieve success.
He therefore tasked heads of departments and agencies to get rid-of manmade bottlenecks in the discharge of their work and have things speeded up through effective collaboration with all stakeholders for fast track development.
