KINTAMPO: Community radio station inaugurated

A Community Radio Station has been built by the Kintampo Municipal Assembly as part of government’s effort to communicate effectively to the people on the grassroots. The project cost GH¢131, 718.43 and is expected to be handed over to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation. The project took almost a year and half to be completed.
In an interview with the Public Works Engineer of the Assembly, Saeed Bisharat Ahmed, he noted that the project has been duly accessed by the Common Fund Monitors and according to them, the project is rated best among all the Common Fund Projects in the Brong Ahafo Region.
He further mentioned that the Procurement Officer and Planning Officer have also accessed and have accepted it.
Mr Ahmed noted that 10 percent of the contract sum has been retained as Defect liability till six (6) months.
