The burden of trekking long distance to access potable water by some residents of deprived communities located in the Talensi Nabdam district has been guaranteed to end shortly.
This is as a result of adequate boreholes being facilitated by the Assembly in conjunction with the Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA) in some selected communities.
The beneficiary areas included Nangodi, Kong, Baborin, Nyogbare-Sazog and Molenaab-Pengre amongst others.
The District Chief Executive for the area, Vivian Anafo intimated that a total of 22 boreholes are being drilled currently through the collaborative effort of the Assembly and CWSA.
She highlighted this in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com.
Madame Anafo stated that whiles the Assembly is undertaking the drilling of 10 of these facilities through the Common Fund (DACF), CWSA is also assisting in the construction of 12 in other environs.
She therefore pledged the commitment of the Assembly to boost the water system of the district to curtail the stress people go through in accessing safe drinking water in the area.
