EJISU JUABEN:Abankro M/A school get new classroom block

Authorities of Abankro M /A Primary School in the Ejisu Juaben Municipality have received keys to a new 3-unit classroom block to augment the number of school structures they already have.
The facility funded through the Assembly’s Common Fund at a cost of GHs 52,000 will go a long way to create a conducive atmosphere for learning and teaching and also reduce issues with overcrowding which had been the order of the day over the years.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony organized recently in the area, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ejisu Juaben, Mr. Kwaku Afrifa Yamoah Ponko reiterated government’s immense contribution and improvements being made to facelift education including free uniforms and exercise books and school feeding programme.
He assured that more school projects would be undertaken to boost standards in the educational sector across the country.
The Municipal Director of Education, Mrs. Gertrude Mensah, passing her remarks insinuated that education, was key to self and national development, and therefore, the development of education should be a shared responsibility.
For her part, the Headmistress of the school, Ms Patient Arthur like Oliver Twist, called on the Assembly, philanthropists and friends of education to support the school with computers to enhance effective teaching and learning of Information Communication Technology, ICT.
