An initiative of various Assembly members and Chiefs in the Talensi-Nabdam district is set to bring a lasting peace and an amicable solution to the unrest at some mining sites in the area.
This development comes on the heels of a recent tension that mounted in two communities, thus Gbane and Gare over an alleged invasion of some mining sites by China Gold Company, a service company operating in the area.
As a result of this, a group of irate youth led by the Assemblyman for Gbane-Gare electoral area, Mr. Bismark Zumah organized a demonstration to register their protest against the operations of the Chinese group describing them as bunch of invaders.
But reacting to issues in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com over the unfortunate situation in the area, Madame Vivian Anafo pointed out that these Chinese companies are development partners who came into the district legally to assist in the development of the area.
She reiterated that their intervention in the area has even led to the construction of a 1,000 Dollar steel bridge over the Onii River by the Sanchi Service Company which is currently ongoing in the area.
She therefore advised the youth in the area to exercise restraint on matters and prayed that the efforts by the Assembly members and Chiefs to promote an amicable solution to the volatile situation at the mining sites materialized.
