N JUABEN:Assembly completes inherited projects

The New Juaben Municipal Assembly has successfully completed grater percentage of projects inherited from the previous administration, Municipal Chief Executive Mr. Alex Asamoah has disclosed.
According to him, eighteen (18) out of the twenty-one (21) projects initiated under the Social Investment Fund (SIF)/ Urban Poverty Reduction Project (UPRP) in 2009 have been completed, adding that the remaining three (3) have been repackaged by SIF and re-awarded accordingly.
The MCE who was addressing Assembly Members at the first ordinary meeting of the second session of the assembly commended them for their support and commitment in developing the municipality.
Mr. Asamoah disclosed that a number of projects that were started recently were progressing steadily and are at various stages on completion. They include construction of 6-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Sempoamiensa, Oguaa Presby School Complex, Asokore-Kotech, New Juaben SHS at Atekyem and Jumapo Presby.
The rest are a 2-storey dormitory block for girls at Oyoko and the construction of information Communication Technology Centre at Asokore.He said the assembly has also received approval for the construction of a post office /ICT centre at Kantudu-Koforidua.
He urged assembly members to regularly visit construction sites in their areas to abreast themselves of the projects to ensure quality and timely completion of the projects.
