U MANYA K:Construction of Asesewa-Akateng road on course

Construction works on the Asesewa-Akateng road in the Upper Manya Krobo District in the Eastern Region is progressing well, this according to the District Chief Executive Mr. Joseph Tetteh Angmor.

He said the road is very important to enhancing economic activities in the district, adding that the people cannot wait for its early completion.

He commended the government for turning its attention to that road which also provided job to some of the residents.

Mr. Tetteh Angmor said since roads play important roles in the growth and development of every economy, the assembly would also continue to do its best to improve other roads especially feeder roads in the district notwithstanding the high cost involved to aid transportation of goods and services to where they are most needed.

Among them, he noted is the Agadzapu-Anyaduni road which is being reshaped. He said most of these roads need this kind of intervention at this time of the year when they are usually made unmotorable due to heavy downpour.
