 | | | Drainage system | |
In order to improve the drainage system in the area to avoid any destruction that comes with the torrential rains in the wet seasons, the Wa Municipal Assembly has committed resources to construct more drains in the municipality.
Some environs like Kabanya and Sawaba all in the Wa township have benefited from the construction of drains to help abate any eventful flooding that may occur in these areas.
According to a project document available on the desk of Ghanadistricts.com, a total amount of GHS 33,853.80 and GHS 36,675.45 had been cited as the cost expended to complete the projects respectively.
The move is part of measures designed under the “Better Ghana” agenda to mitigate the social plight of inhabitants, as well as to ensure that efforts are channeled to enhancing the drainage system in the municipality.
