The rural electrification project initiated by government has helped more communities in the Lawra District to be hooked onto the electricity national grid.
The Assembly is still scaling up efforts in the provision of electricity to numerous local communities, so as to offer inhabitants meaningful lives in the area.
District Chief Executive for the area, Abu Samson who spoke to Ghanadistricts.com on the project in the district mentioned that 22 additional communities have been scheduled to receive light through the programme this year.
Some of the beneficiary communities are Kalsagri, Basebli and Piiri amongst others.
He reiterated that the efforts of the Assembly in covering communities with electricity within the district was part of measures structured under the “Better Ghana” agenda to improve the lots of people living in the area.
He unveiled that the project is being discharged by the China Water Company Ltd.
