He indicated all is set for the project to takeoff in the area, as actual work on the facility will begin in November this year.

This was highlighted in an address by the DCE during an assembly sitting at Abetifi.

The 250-bed capacity facility is expected to be the largest referral hospital in the area which will admit all manner of cases brought to the centre for attention.

The DCE said the consultant in charge of this august project had already visited the district to undertake a preliminary environmental impact assessment to enable initiate the project as scheduled.

Mr. Asamoah maintained that the health sector of the district has so far received a major boost, courtesy the collaboration of the assembly and its development partners.

He for instance applauded current status of work on the Kotoso clinic being funded by the Japanese Organization for International Corporation in Family Planning (JOICFP) and the Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG).

He therefore pledged the assembly’s commitment to provide a residential accommodation and the required utilities for the medical officer to enhance his/her wellbeing in the area.
