KWAHU E:Assembly members urged to partner chiefs in dev’t

Assembly meeting

Presiding Member for the Kwahu East District Assembly, Mrs. Doris Opare-Boafo has urged the various assembly members in the district to collaborate with traditional authorities in their areas to accelerate development.

She reminded them that being representatives of local governance, they are expected to liaise with other leaders such as chiefs and unit committees to run the administration of the electoral area.

The PM made the point in an address at the third ordinary meeting of the first session of the assembly.

Mrs. Opare-Boafo also charged the members to avoid any act that would bring cracks in the society. “Assembly members represents the interest of many people from different parties, therefore it they are required to assist in promoting peace and unity”, she added.

On the ongoing biometric registration, the PM applauded the process in the district saying it is progressing well in all the centres and called on all members to assist in educating the people especially the those who are eligible to take part in the exercise in order to exercise their franchise come December.
