About 36 local communities in the Saboba district in the Northern Region have been supplied with light through a solar energy programme in the district.
The move was initiated as part of measures to intensify the electrification project in the area, so as to complement governmentís efforts to connect more local areas to the national grid.
This was revealed in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com by the District Chief Executive for the area, Ali Adolf G. John to discuss the spate of development in the district.
He indicated that the move will assist residents in beneficiary communities to venture into some form of micro-businesses to improve their lots in the area.
