BUILSA: District ends Performance Review Meeting today

Meeting

An ad hoc meeting dubbed “Performance Review Meeting” for 2011 is currently ongoing in Builsa to conduct an assessment of the various departments of the district.

The development will afford the Assembly the ability to deduce its general performances regarding planned activities that were earmarked in the previous year 2011 and the way forward for the district.

With respect to education for instance, 80% of the planned activities for the sector were implemented in the district, whiles a major lapses that appeared in the sector was the inability for the sector to capture beneficiary schools in some of the key interventions rolled out in the system.

In the area of Agric, the major difficulty that affected the sector was the unimpressive recovery rates of 13% in farm inputs and other supports given to farmers. However the department was able to discharged 70% of the activities scheduled for the year under review.

However the disturbing issue in the health sector in the district was the Cerebro-Spinal Meningitis (CSM) disease which plagued the area and the entire Region. But for the health directorate, there were enough education in place to boost the sensitization level of the public on various media, especially Radio Builsa, a local based station.

At the moment the directorate has adopted an increased sensitization of the disease among other measures to combat CSM in Builsa and its surrounding environs.

The meeting is supposed to end today, 1st March.
