GUSHIEGU: Assembly undertakes street lighting project

As part of measures to guarantee maximum safety of inhabitants in the area, the Gushiegu District Assembly is undertaking a street lighting project in the Gushiegu township.
The move among other things is intended to promote security, and also reduce all forms of social vices in the area.
Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com on the development, the District Chief Executive for the area, Fuseini Alhassan reiterated that the Assembly is making efforts to inject projects which will directly inure the benefits of residents of the district.
In a related development, the Assembly has awarded a GHS 400,000 contract to undertake the construction of a community centre in the area. The project which is being facilitated through the District Development Fund (DDF), is supposed to be ready for commissioning before December this year.
It is expected that the project when completed will assist inhabitants secure appreciable grounds for all social activities in Gushiegu township and its environs.
