OBUASI: Amwona Township elated over School project

Residents of Amwona Township in the Sanso Electoral Area of the Obuasi Municipality have breathe a sigh of relief, as the assembly constructs a new Kindergarten (KG) block to educate the infant school children in the area.

The project has been necessitated by the difficulties parents go through in accessing such facility in neighboring communities.

The Assemblyman for the Sanso Electoral Area, Benjamin Annan who disclosed this in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, observed that parents had to walk about one and a half kilometers with their wards, along the busy highway to get their wards in schools.

“This routine situation has been a source of worry to residents in the township since it is too risky to walk along the highway,” he pointed out.

Mr. Annan was grateful to the Obuasi Municipal Assembly for the KG project. He however called for more of such development project in the area.
