NANUMBA S: 15 communities to receive electricity poles

Efforts by the government to get more rural areas electrified in the country is on course, as the Nanumba South District Assembly is set to supply about 15 communities with Low Voltage (LV) poles.
A total of 1000 poles are ready to be distributed to areas earmarked for the exercise to initiate the Rural Electrification Project in the beneficiary communities.
Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com, the District Chief Executive for the area, Alhaji Amidu Seidu, said the Assembly is committed to connecting more deprived areas of the district to the national grid to boost the lifestyles of inhabitants in the area especially economic undertakings.
Meanwhile the Assembly has also completed the construction of an Abattoir at Wulensi, a community in the district.
According to the DCE, the move is intended to boost the wellbeing of individuals in the business, and would also seek to improve economic activities in the Nanumba South District.
